Four Seasons Marquees MD Guy Cregeen recently took to the skies in a Mark 4 Spitfire!

As a guest of Ariel Collective based at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire, The Spitfire was painted in the colours of 253 Squadron which it served with from 1945-47. It was converted to a two seater as part of its restoration in the mid 80’s.

The pilot was Stuart Goldspink and they took off in formation with another two seater spitfire which was heading to the White Cliffs of Dover for a Battle of Britain re-enactment with an American passenger.

During the flight, Guy took the controls for the middle part of the flight and afterwards Stuart carried out various aerobatic manoeuvres including a barrel roll and inverted loop. The sick bag remained in his overall pocket and they were back on the ground for tea and medals.

It really was an amazing experience.
